Full Day Yarra Valley
We travel to the eucalyptus forests of Warrandyte, enjoying morning tea and a short stroll along the Yarra River with a chance to see the diverse birds and koalas that inhabit the forest. Later, we enter the Yarra Valley, and visit a few of the 60 wineries there for tastings and a sumptuous lunch overlooking the vines at Rochfords Winery. After lunch we drive out of the valley to the cool, inviting forests of the Dandenong Ranges. The tall eucalyptus forests feature the large mountain ash trees and verdant canopy of tree ferns. A short walk with your guide takes you along a ferngully stream where you will have the chance to see lyrebird, cockatoos, galahs and rosellas.
PM Penguins Including Dinner
Phillip Island’s sandy and rocky shorelines team with wildlife including over 200 species of birds. After some exploration, we move on to the Koala Conservation Centre, one of the few areas in Victoria where you can see a protected koala colony. Walk amongst the treetops in nature reserve bushland and see wild koalas within touching distance! Finally we get to the Penguin Parade - each evening at dusk Little Penguins arrive in groups on the beach after a day of fishing. See them waddle their way into the dunes where their burrow nests are situated. We have access to the less populated boardwalks enabling you to gain close contact with the penguins without any hustle and bustle.
Full Day Savannah Walkabout
See Kangaroos and Koalas IN THE WILD! In small groups this naturalist guided ecotour gives you quality time to learn about wildlife and enjoy the wide open spaces of Australia. Get close to kangaroos, koalas and abundant birdlife. Our special Koala Research Project ensures that we often have multiple sightings of these delightful creatures in the wild. A delicious bush lunch is included. Walk amongst large free ranging "mobs" (groups) of wild kangaroos. Spot Emus, Wallabies, Cockatoos and other unique Australian wildlife in the sweeping grasslands and around the billabongs of Melbourne’s Western Plains.
Tramcar Dinner
The glossy, burgundy restaurants on wheels are the first traveling tramcar restaurants in the world and ensure a delightful, innovative approach to dining. As you cruise the scenic streets of Melbourne, you will enjoy fine cuisine and drink the very best of Australian wines or make a selection from the fully stocked bar. The atmosphere is cozy, the service friendly and the decor as inviting as the colonial period these trams reflect.
